 Hello adventurer,  I am excited to see you have joined us on this journey. You are joining other fellow champions, like yourself, to save the planet Azeroth from any number of villains.  Step 1: Pick a realm.  If you are a fan of multi-verse fiction, think of each realm as a different phase of the same planet. In IT terms, each realm is a cluster group. The differences here are only the population of people who call it home. With recent changes, realm lines are blurred so much that the realm doesn't really matter. You can share your gold and equipment across realms using the "warband" or account-bound bank. You can join guilds across realms (even factions).  Step 2: Character creation.  Build the character you enjoy. Experiment. Keep in mind that the gender and appearance can be changed in-game at the barber shop, but the race and class cannot. (unless you want to spend money). Beast Master  Erlenmyer Last Friday, I worked at night, so I had most of the day off. I spent this time leveling up my Alliance hunter from 102 up to 110. Wearing all my heirloom gear, I was actually a bit surprised on how quickly this happened. Erl managed to reach 110 by only: I participated in a legion assault. Since I was sub-110, I couldn't do the 3-man scenario after 4 quests, but I did get a LOT of xp (plus a hidden bonus of racking up almost 4000 nethershards by max level). I did on the other hand run all of the legion invasion quests in the zone.  I started questing in Highmountain, since that's the home zone of the hunter order hall. I still haven't completed the quest chain.  I've gotten about half way through the Order hall campaign. Still haven't opened up the 3rd relic slot on my weapon.  Currently at Missing Mages and realized that I'll need to open Suramar to continue. The Legion invasions have shown us that Timewalking is about to go mainstream.  Blizzard has mentioned that there will be no questing from zone a to zone b path, instead you'll be able to go in any order you wish.  What I think they've failed to explain is that it doesn't necessarily mean at level 100+. I forsee content having no borders.  You approach a bad guy, he will automatically match your level.  This means you could theoretically raid, quest and run heroic dungeons if your gear is appropriate. Or would you need to complete the pre-quests? Of course, some content will still be gated. You can't have people flying around before level forty, can you?? Oh! Disregard my chauffeur please, and this pair of wings,  and the feather from Draenor. So my question is, why am i bothering to level my bank toon? Next week,  she'll be running Siege LFR!! Leveling via all possible dungeons! And maybe even questing in Panda land even though she's not even level...

Teddi continues his adventures in Azeroth, trying to reach 100 before Legion drops. Last night was the first time in about a week that Teddi ventured out of Orgrimmar. His compatriots have logged in to repost auction items and spin the garrison gold wheel. Looking at a little over 30k gold just doing this weekly. It's nice to finally be fluid in the game again. Tempted to have a guildie build me the mechano-hog, but then again.. Teddi has reached 83 now (oddly armory hasn't caught up from last night's game play). Found a tank and healer that kept queueing up for random dungeons; we ended up doing about 6 dungeons. At 81, I was prompted by a fellow DPS for the ' monk buff '. ?? face via armory. Last night I explored patch 6 and all it's glory. First off, I went through each of my toons and purchased my reagents tab. 100g well spent. My oldest characters gained the least. Elkagorasa gained about 3 open bag slots. Haven't made any alchemy recipies in quite some time, so bags fairly empty of herbs. Eride had a bunch of tailoring mats, but not a lot. She's been working on the cloth healer pants. Alliance druid gained almost 2 whole bags free of skinning / leatherworking mats. (time delay - break for dinner and finish assisting with homework) Next, Elk went to the void storage and moved all his old gear into the new storage slot. In the 8 something years playing Warcraft, this is my first Legendary . The single reason why this was possible is the LFR. Without the LFR, I wouldn't been able to get into enough raids to gather the stones, secrets and runestones to complete the quest chain. Last weekend , I had 11 of the 12 necessary Titan Runestones. With this, I only queued up for Halls of Flesh-Shaping  and luckily I got my last stone from the first boss (Durumu). Lei Shen was easy as usual. Quick three bosses and back to talk to Wrathion. Purple i600 cape is now on my back. Challenge of the Celestials. Ugh. Not easy, but not the green fire PITA. I was able to finally win the fight after about 7 tries. In this you have to fight Wrathion. Void walker as my tank, all buffed up, ring the gong (like in proving grounds) and get yourself ready. He has some attack that the VW soaked up for me. The one item that I had to avoid was the lava pools that he'd spawn. If I pulled them off my VW, the pools would ch...

Ah, no more secrets to collect! I ran one more LFR this morning and killed Jin'rokh  (who I haven't seen in quite some time) and grabbed my last secret. That was a long and tedious process. 2-4 secrets per LFR, meaning an easy 6-7 LFR that needed to be completed while under the Gaze buff. Next came the Thunder Forge scenario, which as a destro warlock wasn't that hard. I simply had my voidwalker tank all the mobs, while I dps'd them down as quickly as possible. Considering there are shado-pan and then celestial guardians there to assist, these fights were just really tank & spank. I now have the lance and ready to fight Nalak. Glad I checked into this before starting the fight this morning?? According to King Wampa, it's not about killing Nalak (like I thought), but avoiding him for the minute it takes to charge the lance. Last night after running the dailies, my tailor finished off her rep with the August Celestials. Immediately, I hearthed back and picked up the pattern for the Royal Satchel . One for Elk and One for Eride. Yeah, immediately 4 more bag slots by replacing the Embersilk bag . Move the embersilk to bank slot, replacing 20 slot bag. This got me thinking, what other rep can I easily work on? On thing for sure, Eride needs her " Black Prince " rep. Through no intentional means, Elk is Honored without even trying. Probably from LFR raids and killing all those Klaxxi? One trick I found on Wowhead via the comments was to run successive runs of a daily quest for the Shadow Pan . It's a bit of a cheat personally; run quest, abandon and run again, but you can easily make 1000 per run (100 kills at 10-15 rep each).  Combine that with the current DMF " Whee !" buff and you'll make another 100 rep each run!! :D Elk has moved on to building his Order of Cloud Serpent...

Thunder Isle introduced a new daily quest option that allowed you to either do PVE centric dailies (and get valor rewards) or PVP centric dailies (and get honor rewards). In 5.4, we got the proving grounds . This allowed you to practice with your class against NPCs in a non-destructive training arena. Not absolutely helpful, but as a phased area, it allowed the same area be used for multiple purposes. In addition, each person was faced against objectives that met their class they wanted to play. As I am grinding August Celestials rep on my Discipline priest, I am reminded of the pains of questing on a healing spec. Mobs die very slowly. Warbringer scout gave up and walked off  last night before I could kill him. In WoD, I'd like Blizzard to introduce class specific dailies. For example, maybe it could be like an arena battle where you either play as the DPS/Tank or the healer. Last weekend, I continued along the process of starting my noodle cart enterprise. First off, ran the instance of Jade Serpent for " Bad Feeling, Worse Result " 3 times. First off, I didn't see the scroll you are looking for, and left the dungeon thinking it was bugged. Second time, I died trying to kill Lin Da-Gu. Third, with some help, I finished. As a warlock, I suggest you ask one other player come along. Lin Da-Gu was fairly easy for my voidwalker to tank, but he has an ability that killed me almost instantly. Run back into the dungeon after death and everything has reset (doors closed). The next step is to catch bags of grain. This is EASY once you figure out the big trick. Clear area of beasts, use the ability on the item to put your arms out, then run to the dust motes. When you catch 5 bags, turn around and run back up the hill to the cart with a hunters mark over top. As far as I can tell, we don't actually use the grain in the cart. To start, we...

From the Patch  notes: Players who have learned the first recipe in each of “the ways” can discover a quest-line that starts on the Timeless Isle: “ Noodle Secrets Long Forgotten .” Heroes will search for a long-lost pandaren recipe allowing them to build and run their own noodle cart. The all-new quest-line will revisit some old zones and dungeons, culminating in a solo scenario with a unique time-management mini-game. The noodle cart allows a player to set themselves up as a vendor and distribute powerful noodle soups to their faction. What I thought: I am Poh . So far, I have found the starter quest on the Timeless Isle and done the basic running around (find this toon, then run over there and talk to him). I am trying to level my disc priest's gear up. She's currently trying to gather up supplies in the Battlefield Barrens zone but as a healer it's VERY SLOW! She can kill mobs using her rotation and she doesn't die, but geesh, we're talking 5 minutes a mob. Were as, Elk can power through 7 mobs at a time. Voidwalker out, aggro an entire area, dot everyone up and grab loots! Since his average ilevel is 507, I've often wanted to simply mail the supplies (again, why are they soulbound?) to my priest and let her turn in the weekly quest. It appears that in 5.4, the Timeless Isles zone will include, yet another weekly quest, with yet another currency, timeless coins . These coins can purchase pet costumes , some ' buff ' items, and timeless armor . These Timeless items appear to work in a similar fashion to the Latent Kor'kron Gear in Battlefield Barrens. You can transform a plain item into one with random stats that is appropriate for your spec. The...

Saturday night, after equipping my new gear (bought bracers , got bulging heroic quest drop belt , equipped non-tier items), I thought, why not, and continued the Warlock quest line. You know the one for green fire. I am stuck on the first meta boss, that big floating head . (feel like I am in Wrath dungeons again...) (video is a play-through so if you're not wanting spoilers, don't watch). skip to 39min 30sec Viewing this video, I think maybe I am making it too complicated. My setup: Demonic gateway on either side of the dungeon Demonic portal immediately behind gateway (use port - face gateway). Void lord on boss Shadowfury , and brimstone front and center as giant buttons.  I did: Dance with boss and use voidlord as tank and terrorguard. When Lost Souls spawn, run for portal and jump across dungeon. AOE lost souls. Shadowfury on boss during his AOE stage. Repeat. Sadly, the best I've seen is him down to about 30% health. With the 5.3 patch, Blizzard started along the war of Vol'jin against Garrosh. This series of 'quests' details why the war is going on (alliance and horde) and then what we need to do about it. Start quest line from Lorewalker Cho , and listen to his stories, which lead into the 2 new scenarios Blood in the Snow . Ride between skulls and you can avoid wiping on large fights. and Darkheart of Pandaria . Kill off some adds around the first boss to get 'shield buff' on group. Collect 1 of (3) each relic for an achievement. Fly to Senjin village (horde), talk to Vol'jin. Raid the Kor'kron camps around the Barrens . I found this easier if I simply killed two commanders . They show up as little huts on your barrens map. As DPS, I could simply sit there and kill the boss, I'd get some splash healing. (I wasn't able to solo the one elite I tried by myself, they are all level 92.) You don't have to tag the boss, even grey I got drops from him. Even ...

Yes, Elk is doing his dailies. Surprised? I really want the rep with the Sunreaver's so that I can get the commendation . That way when my priest opens the area up, she'll earn rep a lot faster! So, we're trying to turn in Compy Stomp  to Scout Captain Elisa . I met her at the entrance to the zone unhidden, now she's hiding somewhere under a shield of invisibility. Unfortunately I can stand on top of her ?  but no zone, no silence, nothing. This video has made me realize that maybe it's bugged. Watch closely at the beginning, or fast forward to roughly 10minutes 10 seconds . The player runs in and out of the cover. It's absolutely, plainly visible in the video. I stood there last night a few times and nothing.. Tag support? Or drop and re-run the quest? Try tonight and let you know what I find... Update : I opened a ticket last night with support. I could check on the status of that ticket now, IF I had brought my authenticator to work... So, anyway...

Last night Elk officially started his hunt for green fire. Unlike Amijade , I didn't suffer the RNG gods, running around Thunder Island for weeks hoping the Tome  drops. Instead (lucky me), the tome dropped on the auction house for an absolute steal of 1300g . 30 seconds to swap to my auction house toon, transfer 500g over, and it was all MINE! Woot! Impressions so far. Sneaking through the laser security system Nice bit of lore. The reading (and it's copious) uncovers some of the behind the scenes to how warlocks got our MoP spell improvements.  Class specific. This quest line has me using warlock spells that I haven't used since the novelty ran out. I just ran through a maze of traps using my all seeing eye.   It's not easy. When I ran through the Battered Hilt quest chain, it was rather easy. I am at the first big 'boss' fight and have died officially 3 times. Last night after running my scenario-dungeon-raid run, I decided to work on opening the Shado Pan areas. (There's a rare that npcscan keeps finding in the area bordering HalfHill that I can't kill because of phasing). Along the way, I picked up a quest that granted me (combined) about 600 Dominance Offense rep. Looking at WowHead , I see there are 44 non-daily quests that grant DO rep. There are some interesting quest lines hidden here under the "Pandaren Campaign" catergory. For example, there appears to be a defunct series of quest that involve finding Thrall . The comments all are listed as "Out of Date", so I am wondering if this quest line even exists in production? If not, maybe it will be used to further the 5.3 story-line? Update: OR, I just needed to go back to the Dominance Offense front and find it. Picked it up, found Thrall in the Orc starting area and then slaughtered a ton of Kor'koran.

Just logged on looking for the start of my quest line. Sadly after 2 seconds of research, I found a link to Dave Kosak's twitter feed . Later on in that same feed, he mentions. To be fair, my Warlock friends, we're looking into doing it ALL in patch 5.2 instead of spreading it out over several patches. So not all hope is lost..   Maybe we WILL get our flying mounts then?!?

Remember the one Cata quest that everyone thought should be a daily? Gnomebliteration ? Sure you do.. The giant fire ball that rolls around and you simply roll over the fel infected gnomes.. Go, Kota Kon, Go! Well, I found the MoP version, and it's a daily too! I was in Kun-Lai Summit last night leveling my Disc Priest, when I found one of those optional quest ! markers pop up. It starts with a poop quest . Ends with grinding the poop up into a ' kafa ' drink (secretly I don't think Blizzard likes coffee). You give it to the abominable snow monster, 'kota kon'. Kota kon is now under your control and you go and smash, charge and eat evil Hozen along the Burlap trail. Sure it's not a giant ball of fire and the Hozen don't scream in agony as you eat them (at least not what I heard with my volume settings), but still a nice daily and provides XP or gold.
